The playlist expired or stopped working

How it looks from inside the app, how to renew, and exactly what survives

Anees TV is an IPTV player and ships with no channels or media of its own. Your subscription is with your provider, not with us — so nothing here will bring back a lapsed one. What this page can do is show how an expiry looks from inside the app, and how to put fresh details in without losing your library.

Two different expiries — this page is about one

What you actually see when a subscription runs out

One warning first: Anees TV does not put a countdown on the screen. Xtream panels publish an expiry date, but the app does not display it today, so the first sign is a failure. Three shapes, depending on how you connected:

Renew, then edit the playlist you already have

  1. Renew with your provider, and ask whether the details are unchanged.
  2. Settings → Playlists, then the Edit icon on that playlist. Put the new values into the same row.
  3. Save & load. If channels do not come back, use Settings → Refresh → Refresh playlist now.

Do not add a second playlist for the same provider. The free tier includes one playlist — several at once is the Pro feature Unlimited playlists — and when only one exists the Delete icon is not even shown, precisely because Edit is the intended route.

What survives an edit — precisely

Anees TV files your favourites and resume positions against your provider's address and username, not against the row in the list. That one fact predicts everything:

Why: the alternative is matching your history by title, which eventually attaches the wrong film's resume point to the wrong film. A missing favourite explains itself; a silently wrong match does not.

If you use sync

With Settings → Sync on, the playlist itself — credentials included — travels to your other devices along with favourites, watch progress and profiles, so renewing on the phone updates the TV without typing on a remote. Downloads do not sync; they are files on one device.

Troubleshooting

Where do I see my expiry date?

Not in the app today — on your provider's customer page, or the email they sent when you subscribed.

I renewed and it still will not load

Two usual reasons: the provider moved you to a different host without saying so, or the pasted password brought a trailing space, which fails exactly like a wrong password. If the address really is right, work through "couldn't reach the server".

I switched provider and lost all my favourites

Not lost — filed under the old provider's address. A new provider is a fresh library: the same shows on a different panel are, to the app, different entries.

Everything is listed but every channel fails

Classic expired subscription. The list is the last saved copy, kept so an outage does not empty your screen — check the renewal date before changing any setting.
