Anees TV is an IPTV player and ships with no channels or media of its own, so when it says it cannot reach something, that something belongs to your provider. The app uses different words for genuinely different failures — read the exact sentence first, because it has already narrowed the problem down.
Commonest and fastest to check: a missing or wrong port,
http where the panel only speaks https or the reverse,
or a trailing slash or path left on the server field. A server is host and port
and nothing else, e.g. http://example-provider.com:8080. All of
it is taken apart properly in
the Xtream Codes guide.
If it worked yesterday and your details have not changed, this is the likeliest answer: panels are rehomed routinely and providers do not always say so. Ask for the current server address, then edit the playlist you already have rather than adding a second one — why that matters.
This is the case the app can settle for you. Anees TV does not guess from the error text; it looks at what actually came back. When the reply is a filtering authority's block page instead of your playlist, it says so rather than sending you to re-check an address that is perfectly correct. On a Saudi line, for instance, it names the page it received: "Anees TV reached the network, but instead of the stream it received a block page from the Saudi IP authority (SAIP). A different network or provider is needed; retrying will not help."
Two deliberate choices behind that: the app names a block and does not work around one — no hidden proxy, no tricks — and on a confirmed block it stops retrying, because Retry cannot change the answer.
On a filtered line the https version of a host
often fails during the handshake rather than returning a page, which looks
exactly like the server being offline — which is why trying the other scheme
comes first.
Guest networks want terms accepted in a browser first, and many then allow only web browsing — a hotel network that loads your email happily can still refuse an IPTV port. Clear the portal with any web page; if streams still refuse, tether from a phone to prove it is the venue.
If the host name resolves to nothing, all of the above looks like a dead server. The signature is a bare IP address working in the server field while the host name does not. Point the router at a public resolver — some networks intercept DNS to enforce section 3.
On a stream that will not start, Anees TV retries by itself and says so: "Retrying automatically in 5s (attempt 2)", then "Automatic retries stopped — press Retry when your connection is back." After hopping between players you may see "Still refusing - switching players quickly can trip your provider connection limit. Wait a minute, then retry." — not a network fault, and waiting is the fix.
Individual streams go down constantly — not this problem. If the picture stutters rather than refuses, see buffering and stuttering.
Same login, different network path. Check the TV is on the same Wi-Fi and not on a guest network. Setting the playlist up on the phone and letting the TV pull it down with Settings → Sync saves retyping.
Expected. Anees TV keeps your last saved playlist on screen rather than emptying it, so the list survives a provider outage. Those channels are a memory, not a live connection.
