• Timeshift, catch-up, DVR and multi-view in Sparkle TV Plus. Anees TV has none of these.
• Android TV integration: home screen "Play next", auto frame rate and remote customization.
• Plus price. US$7.99 a year or US$20.99 one-time on the official site, below Anees TV Pro's US prices.
• TV guide for M3U playlists. Sparkle TV's free version takes XMLTV guide sources alongside M3U playlists. Anees TV shows a guide only with Xtream Codes logins for now.

Where Anees TV is different

• Google Play. Anees TV is on Google Play for phones, tablets and Android TV.
• Windows. Anees TV runs on Windows 10 and 11 from the Microsoft Store, alongside Android phones, tablets, Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV.
• The free version is the full player. Live TV with a programme guide (with Xtream Codes logins), films and series and one playlist, with no ads and no time limit. Pro adds extras: unlimited playlists, automatic playlist refresh, TMDB ratings and artwork, household profiles, offline downloads and sync.
• Fire TV from the Amazon Appstore. Anees TV is listed in the Amazon Appstore, so a Fire TV does not need sideloading. The Downloader code 2228177 also works.
• Seven interface languages. Arabic with a full right-to-left layout, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Turkish.
• Sync across devices. With Pro, favourites, continue watching and profiles follow you across up to 5 devices. Synced data is encrypted on the device before it is uploaded.
