Anees TV (“the app”) is operated by AneesApps LLC, a Wyoming (USA) limited liability company (“we”). The app is a media player. It plays content that you provide by adding your own playlist (an M3U URL or Xtream Codes login). The app ships with no channels, movies, or media of its own, and we do not host, provide, sell, or resell any content or subscriptions.
On your device (not sent to us):
By default the app has no account. We do not collect your name or location, we do not sell your data, and we show no ads. Two optional features do involve limited data — crash reports and cloud sync — and each is described below; both can be turned off, and sync also lets you optionally add a recovery email.
If you enable cross-device sync, your profiles, favorites, watch progress, and playlist details (including any provider credentials) are stored in a private sync account on our server (Cloudflare) and used only to sync your own devices — never indexed, aggregated, shared, or sold. Your data is encrypted on your device with a key derived from your sync code before it is uploaded, and your account is identified by a random sync code, not by your name.
Your device list (not encrypted): so that the Devices screen in Settings can show you what is using your sync account — and let you remove a device you no longer own — we also store, per device and in readable form: a random device identifier we generate, your device’s hardware model name (for example “TCL Smart TV Pro” or “Windows PC”), its platform (Android, Windows, iOS), and the time it last synced. This is deliberately not encrypted, because the whole point is that you can read it. It is hardware information only — never your name, phone number, advertising ID, or any account identifier from Google, Apple or anyone else — it is used solely to render that screen and enforce the device limit, and it is deleted along with everything else if you delete your sync account.
How encryption and recovery interact (please read): if you do not add a recovery email, the encryption key never leaves your devices and we cannot read your synced data. If you do add a recovery email, we additionally store an encrypted backup of your account key on our server so we can restore your account when you lose your code — which means that, for recovery-enrolled accounts, we are technically able to decrypt your synced data (including your provider credentials). We do this only to perform a recovery you request, and you can remove it by deleting your account. For that reason we do not describe sync as “end-to-end” or “zero-knowledge” for recovery-enrolled accounts. The recovery email itself is stored only as a one-way hash, solely to send you a recovery code. You can delete your sync account and all of the above at any time (see below).
Anees TV is a general-audience utility for playing content you supply. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you use cloud sync, you can permanently delete your sync account and everything stored with it — in the app under Settings → Sync → Delete account, or by requesting deletion at aneestv.com/delete (or by emailing support@aneestv.com). All other data lives only on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
Because Anees TV collects no name, email, or location, most personal-data rights simply have nothing to act on. Where data-protection laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) or the CCPA/CPRA (California) apply to you, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port the limited data associated with you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent — without discrimination for exercising these rights.
